On Monday you will be able to see the “kiss” between Jupiter and Venus

The two brighter planets meet and offer a visible sight to the naked eye until the sun rises

A “kiss” just before dawn between the two brightest planets: Venus and Jupiter will offer a show that everyone will be able to see with a naked eye, as long as they get up early. The close encounter between the two planets is, in fact, visible from 6 am on November 13 until the Sun rises. “If clouds and rain allow, the conjunction is a spectacle not to be missed,” observed the astrophysicist Gianluca Masi.

“The best times to admire it are those that preceded dawn, from 6 am until the sky begins to become clearer.” Getting up so soon is worth it because “the planets involved are very bright: just think that Venus is the brightest in the sky, second only to Sun and Moon, followed immediately by Jupiter. It is, therefore, an easy show to look at the naked eye looking to the East, provided that the horizon in that direction is free. ” The two planets will also be very close, though not as they were in August 2016, but far more than they will be at their next meeting scheduled for January 22, 2019.
