In Milan in 40 years has never been so hot in January: broken records for maximum and minimum temperatures

The flow of mild air associated with the Scirocco winds is causing an anomalous heat that has set new record temperatures. In Rome on Monday, January 8th we had the highest minimum temperature of the last 20 years with 17 ° C at dawn and, with 19.6 ° C, the highest maximum temperature of the last 40 years (previous record 19 ° C of January 2013).

In Verona with 12 ° C at dawn we have reached the highest minimum temperature of the last 20 years, as well as in Palermo with 18.8 ° C at dawn and 24.1 ° C which corresponds to the highest maximum of the last 40 years on a par with January 2014.
Record also in Naples with 21.5 ° C, record maximum temperature of the last 40 years (previous record 21.1 ° C in January 2001) and in Milan and Brescia where today, Tuesday 9 January, the highest minimum temperature of the last 20 years, respectively with 10.4 ° C and 11.1 ° C recorded at dawn.

These are exaggerated values for the first days of January: these temperatures are normally reached in late spring.
