David Bowie singing in Italian – Ragazzo solo, ragazza sola

January 10, 2016, David Bowie, the legend of pop-rock, died. Two days before, on the 8th, the singer had turned 69 years old and released his latest studio work “Blackstar”.

Here we have him singing in Italian, the Italian version of “Space Oddity”, named: “Ragazzo solo, ragazza sola”.The original English lyrics were not translated, but rewritten in Italian to be a song about lost love, and David required to sing them—he didn’t know they’d been rewritten, though. Once he was finished recording, the producer was saying what a great love song it was going to be, and David said: “But my song is about an astronaut in space, and the producer was like, No, Italians don’t care about astronauts; it has to be a love song, and David had to accept it.
